Charles’s professional pursuits and personal passions have led him down an unlikely 20-year path intertwining Technology, Marketing, International Trade, Art, and Philanthropy.
His immediate, 🎯laser focus, is on modernizing the Jamaican story, transforming the portrayal of Jamaica’s National Heroes and connecting the world to an authentic cultural experience. He is accomplishing this with a 🎥 10 episode film series, 🎶original Jamaican music, 🖼 fine art paintings, a digital platform, and print collateral. For the first time, his team is aggregating and centralizing the stories of Jamaica’s National Heroes into a single Body of Work, chronologically highlighting their contributions to Jamaica’s emancipation and independence.
Charles built a career around Information Management, as a consultant helping Fortune 500 companies at all levels across disparate industries make more informed decisions, monetize their data assets, reduce risk and achieve compliance.
Marketing and advertising is an innate talent and after founding and building an 🏆 award-winning marketing and advertising agency, those skills helped to take him around the world marketing and trading minerals. Leveraging a rich heritage, under his leadership, he founded a mineral exchange company that was able to re-establish the mining and trading of Columbite Tantalite (coltan) in Sierra Leone and at one point becoming the largest exporter of coltan to China in the Mano River Union (Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea).
Having lived in Jamaica, multiple US cities, London, Shanghai and Sierra Leone, he believes 🌍Africa is the NOW, future and the final frontier. He believes those with the vision, now, can seize the opportunity to be a part of its future success while making a positive impact on the lives of those living there. With over 10 years of experience doing business and trading with African countries, he helps investors decode the complexity of doing business and investing in Africa.
Philanthropy is a passion he discovered after uncovering a hidden talent to 🎨paint. Enter “Mark Phi”. Through his “Impact Model”, in partnership with non-profit organizations across the globe (China, Europe, West Africa, the Caribbean, and the US) Mark Phi Creations has helped charitable organizations raise millions of 💸dollars towards their cause and those in need ultimately.
A proud Jamaican he is excited to have one of the largest collections of Bob Marley fine art paintings on permanent exhibit at the Bob Marley Museum in Jamaica.
This unlikely path has contributed to his professional development, global outlook, and ability to connect, lead and motivate people.
